Houston Airport Develops Specifications with CAS-MI

Recently CAS-MI was asked by the City of Houston to consult on the yellow airfield markings for their airport. The Houston Airfield requires all suppliers to get their paint evaluations done at by a 3rd party ISO 9001 testing facility. Unfamiliar with the technical specifications needed to evaluate these coatings, the city approached CAS-MI to assist them with this process.

In this instance we were able to define such testing types as tensile, taber abraser, qualitative ultraviolet exposure (QUV), and product coverage rate (PCR). Although the testing may not necessarily be completed at CAS-MI, our experts were able to assist in the specification process. Additionally, Stephen Hall, Senior Technical Director/General Manager of CAS-MI Laboratories is mentioned as a source of reference information for testing facilities that seek to meet the criteria.

For many years CAS-MI Laboratories has been called upon as consultants. Our experts are well versed on industry standards and have helped consult in all aspects. The CAS-MI Innovation center helps clients bring ideas to reality, while our legal team helps clients with expert witness testimony and litigation support. Our goal is to be your industry advisor for product development/innovation and quality standards.
