Dr. Tom Schuerlein
Director of Analytical Services, California - Lucerne & Arques

Dr. Schuerlein is Director of Analytical Services-California including the former AMER labs.

Dr. Schuerlein joined Charles Evans & Associates, now Evans Analytical Group, in 1995 as an analyst in the TOF-SIMS and XPS groups. From 2000 to 2006 Tom worked in the analytical labs of Hewlett Packard’s inkjet division in Corvallis, Oregon, both an expert in surface science and as a manager of the chemistry and electron beam imaging labs. In 2006 he returned to EAG to manage the analytical labs in CA and assumed responsibility of the AMER labs as they became part of the EAG network.

Tom received his BS in chemistry from SUNY Oneonta in 1989 and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Neal Armstrong at the University of Arizona in 1995 where he studied the packing structures and surface chemistry of dye molecules on single crystal metal surfaces.
