Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Christine Russell joined EAG as its Chief Financial Officer in May 2009.
Christine Russell has been a financial executive in technology businesses in Silicon Valley for over twenty-five years, working with both emerging and larger firms, public and private venture capital backed.
Most recently at Virage Logic, a semiconductor intellectual property company, she served as EVP of Business Development and CFO from June 2006 to April 2009 with customers such as TSMC, LSI Logic, and Marvell.
Prior to Virage Logic, Ms. Russell was CFO at OuterBay Technologies, a venture backed company offering database archiving and information life cycle management, which was subsequently acquired by HP in early 2006. She served as CFO at Ceva, a semiconductor intellectual property company in the business of developing and licensing digital signal processing cores and application software, from 2003 to 2005.
She took Persistence Software, an application server and distributed computing company, public in 1999. The company targeted sales to high end trading and network applications with customers such as CitiGroup, DeutscheBank, Instinet and NetJets. She was with Persistence from 1997 to 2003, which was later acquired by Progress Software.
At Cygnus Software, one of the pioneers in open source software support and distribution, Ms. Russell served as CFO from 1995 to 1997, which successfully merged with RedHat. She was part of the team that took Valence Technology public in 1992, which is a developer and manufacturer of advanced battery technology. She served as CFO from 1992 to 1995. Other financial executive positions include Covalent Systems, Xerox (Shugart Associates) and Measurex (Honeywell).
Ms. Russell Has a B.A. and M.B.A. in Finance from University of Santa Clara. She serves as Audit Committee Chair and Director at QuickLogic Corporation and is President of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Silicon Valley Chapter.
