Wes Nieveen is a Scientific Fellow at Evans Analytical Group LLC and is primarily associated with the X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) group. He works in development of new methods and techniques for analytical measurements.

Along with XPS analyses, Wes also does research and writes articles and application notes on methods and techniques for analyzing new materials. 

Wes was previously the Associated Director of the Materials Characterization and Preparation Center at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and helped in planning and building HKUST from 1990 to 1997. Prior to HKUST, Wes was the manager of the Crystal Growth and Materials Preparation Facility (a NSF/MRL central research facility) at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL for 13 years. 

He has been at EAG Labs in Sunnyvale, CA for the last 10 yrs. Wes has a B.S. in Solid State Physics from Univ. of NE and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern Univ.
